What we collect
Waitlist: your email address, the exact consent wording you agreed to, the date and time, a one-way hashed version of your IP address (we never store the IP itself) and your browser's user-agent — so we can prove you asked to hear from us.
Topic suggestions: only the text you write. We don't ask for your name or email, and we use a hashed IP solely to stop spam.
Analytics: privacy-friendly, cookie-free page-view counts (Vercel Web Analytics). No advertising trackers.
How we use it
To send the emails you asked for (launch news and new episodes) and to choose topics for the show. We never sell or share your email.
Double opt-in and unsubscribing
We only email you after you click the confirmation link. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
Who processes data for us
Hosting (Vercel), database (Supabase) and email delivery (Resend). Each only processes data to run this site.
Retention and your rights
We keep your email while you're subscribed, plus the consent record as proof of your opt-in. To see, correct or delete your data, email privacy@criticalcafe.com and we'll act within 30 days.
Children
Critical Café isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for meaningful changes, tell subscribers by email.
